American Medical Women's Association, Premedical Branch

The American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) is an organization which functions at the local, national, and international level to advance women in medicine and improve women’s health. We achieve this by providing and developing leadership, advocacy, education, expertise, mentoring, and strategic alliances. AMWA brings together those in medicine and health-related fields to promote women’s health and to support members’ professional and personal development.

The Premedical Branch of AMWA at UNLV emphasizes the importance of developing successful female leaders in medicine. Through leadership, collaboration, mentorship, and community engagement, UNLV AMWA Premedical Branch promotes academic achievement and opportunities for premedical students.
